About this album

The eleven tracks featured on this album are a blend of original compositions and reimagined themes from famous Japanese film scores. The theremin is the central element of the project, complemented by a non-conventional instrumentarium: a vast array of vintage and modern synthesizers, some rare expressive instruments (like the Haken Continuum and the Ondomo – a modern replica of the Ondes Martenot), a fretless bass, a Fender Rhodes, a Farfisa combo organ with a rotary speaker, some piano here and there…

Three of the tracks further expand this peculiar universe through an intimate collaboration with Japanese jazz pianist Yuya Wakai.
